Hannah. Yes you like to me see in the home.. it gives you comfort don’t it?

But you can’t wait to get away.. to go to your clubs, your societies.

What do you do there?

Talk about the state of the country and how wonderful women are… but ain’t it grand without them.

It’s not women who go on about how wonderful they are.

It’s the men.

Oh but they can’t get away quick enough after the loving and when the washing and the cleaning are being done….,.

Since I’ve been married I’ve seen both faces of the world.

The waited on and the waiters, heads bowed so low they touch the ground.

I’ve seen what goes on.

What’s behind all that chintz and lace curtains and… politeness.

The master of the house leading the prayers,

"For what we are about to receive

May the Lord make us truly thankful"

Later in the hallway, he squeezes the new young maid’s arm

" what a pretty arm my child"

I’ve smelt the hypocrisy

The vices of men reek to heaven.
